Custom Website for a local Farm Shoppe and Restaurant
Spirit Tree Estate Cidery is a cidery, orchard, farm shoppe and restaurant located in Caledon, Ontario. Spirit Tree makes delicious cider, pastries, bread and is definitely worth the drive to Caledon!
In 2019, I started working with Spirit Tree to manage their social media and marketing. As part of my role, I was to update and manage their website, which was built on Wix. A few issues with their existing website:
- Wix templates are very difficult to customize
- The old site was dated did not reflect their brand and style
- Although Spirit Tree is a very popular attraction in Caledon, it ranked very low on Google
Hustle & Sparkle migrated the site from Wix to Word Press and used the page Builder “Beaver Builder” so that it was completely customizable and easy to maintain.
The new custom WordPress site was completely redesigned to reflect their branding, with lots of images of the property, products and food. The navigation and site map were simplified so that customers could easily find what they were looking for and stay on the site. To ensure the site ranked higher on search engines, Hustle & Sparkle ensured that each page was optimized and profiled Spirit Tree as a top destination in Caledon.
The old site did not have any ecommerce capabilities. It was very important, especially with Covid hit, to incorporate a “Shop Now” page and allow customers to order curbside and take-out. I integrated their existing store management system (Shopkeep) and set up all their Farm Shoppe products and take-out menu.
The new site now features:
- upcoming events and important announcements
- full integration with all their social media channels
- fully integrated with MailChimp and has an easy way for customers to sign up for their newsletter
- highlights all the activities at Spirit Tree for every season
- link with their inventory management system so that they can easily upload new products for sale
- allows customers to easily book a table, see their menu and order take-out
- A blog, about and contact
The Spirit Tree web redesign was a huge product but the results were amazing. Almost immediately, we saw an increase in web traffic and online sales. Where their previous website was an afterthought, the new website is a key part of their marketing to profile new products, upcoming events and menu.

For Spirit Tree, Hustle & Sparkle created a home page that highlighted Spirit Tree as a top destination in Caledon and a leader within the cider industry. Not only was it important to profile the history of Spirit Tree, but to easily display all the important information for customers (location, hours, covid protocol, etc.)
